The Annual General Meeting of the Club takes place in October each year in Barnard's Inn, when formal business is discussed, including the election of the new President, whose year starts then.  Details and minutes are published in the Magazine.  All members are entitled to attend (in 2014, 32 OMs attended - curiously, the same number as at the 1974 AGM, the same people, perhaps?).

Although this meeting may seem dull, it is in fact quite the opposite, with a mercifully short formal meeting being followed by a mercifully longer buffet lunch in the Headmaster's study, where the outgoing President can let his hair down and the incoming President can ponder whether he's made a terrible mistake (he hasn't).
